FAQ
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to most international countries. (please be aware of local import / duty fees in your home country - Parker Wool is not responsible for fees once your package leaves the United States)
Are your sheepskins 100% natural?
Yes! Parker Wool never touches faux fur. All our product are ethically sourced as by-products of the meat industry from the world's best tanneries.
What are the size differences on the Long Wool rugs?
Please refer to guide below for the relative sizes:
Where do your sheepskins come from?
Most of our sheepskins are sourced from New Zealand and Australia, with certain products coming from Northern European Highlands. The pleasant news is that sheepskin is a by-product of the meat industry and no animals are harmed specifically for use of the skins. We make use of a natural resource that, if properly cared for and tanned carefully, will last for a lifetime.
How durable is my sheepskin?
Our sheepskins will last a lifetime if they are cared for properly and used as the products were intended. Shorter wool clipped rugs and those made from stronger wool types will withstand more wear than longer wool unclipped rugs or finer wools. We have provided extensive Caring for Sheepskin guidelines to help maintain the properties and life of the sheepskin products.
When will my order ship?
We try to ship most orders within two business days. Delays may occur with backordered products.
How are the bean bags shipped?
For orders in the USA, all 3' bean bags arrive filled. International orders come unfilled, because shipping would be outrageous if they were shipped with filling. Taking this into account, we take on a part of the international shipping cost, and you can purchase bean bag fill from your home country. You'll need 9 cubic feet (0.25 cubic meters) for the 3' bag. (Recycled EPS beads or shredded polyurethane foam)
All 6' bean bags come unfilled, regardless of where they're shipped, because they wouldn't fit in your front door if they came filled. For orders in the USA, you can purchase the fill here. Because of the size of the fill, we ask international orders to purchase fill in their home country, and again, the shipping is subsidized to account for this. The 6' bags require 30 cubic feet (0.85 cubic meters) of fill.
The 6' bean bag is extremely expensive to ship internationally; around $650. If ordering internationally, we will unfortunately need to send you a bill for the shipping once the bag is finished and we calculate shipping to your destination.
How accurate are the colors?
Wool is a natural fur product. There may be slight variations in the colors shown on our website, because every piece is unique in its own way. When you first receive your product, take it out of the box, give it a good shaking, and brush the fibers with a wire hair dog brush. As it has been packed in the box for a while, it needs time to be brushed and relaxed. Wool is like natural hair and does show differently depending on the direction of the wool and the lighting.
A note on the 'Ivory' color:
Please note that our Ivory color contains a slight yellowish hue, and is not a pure white. This color appears naturally in all white sheepskins, and you will never find a pure white natural sheepskin. If you do ever come across a pure white sheepskin, it has been bleached, which severely damages the fibers, makes it much less soft, and shortens the life of the sheepskin. Parker Wool never bleaches our sheepskin.
A note on custom products:
The majority of our products can be custom made to fit your size and color requirements. As these items are custom, we're unable to accept any returns or process any refunds after the order has been placed. (this includes our 6' bean bags) This includes delays from manufacturing, shipping and customer changes to the order. Please let us know within 12 hours of placing your custom order if you need to make any changes. Thanks for your understanding.
